George Douglas Roth

April 6, 1947 - February 12, 2010

George Douglas Roth of 606 Cross Creek Drive passed at his home on Friday, February 12.
The family will receive visitors at the Brown-Oglesby Funeral Home from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, February 18. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 19 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Seneca on Friday February 19 at 11:00, where a mass will be held. He will be buried in Circleville, OH, where he was born on April 6, 1947.
Over the last 20 years, Doug held executive positions in financial services, where he received several awards for his leadership. In retirement, he served as a volunteer at Oconee Medical Center and was Vice Chairman of the Consumer Credit Council Board of Directors. He served in the U.S. Air Force and is a Vietnam Veteran. He was a graduate of Rockhurst College in Kansas City, MO.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Professor Aleda Roth of Clemson University; and his son, George Brian Roth of New York, NY; daughter, Lauren Carter-Roth Venu and son-in-law, Mason Venu, both of Honolulu HI. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Lewis Roth and Louise Carter Roth of Circleville, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oconee Memorial Hospital or to ones favorite charity.
