Life Legacy

R. Denny Currier, 74, passed away on February 21, 2010 after a valiant fight with acute myeloid leukemia. Denny was born on February 10, 1936 in Rockford, Il, the first son of the late Laurence J. Currier and Ruth V. Denny Currier. He graduated from Rockford West High School in 1953 before attending the University of Iowa, where he was a member of the golf team. His passion for golf continued throughout his life.
Denny served in the Army for two years before starting his professional career. He retired in 2001 from Welborn Clinic in Evansville, In, where he spent 26 years as Administrator. He spent his retirement years in Keowee Key in Salem, SC.
Denny is survived by his wife Nancee Clark Currier; sons Todd William Currier (Julie), David Clark Currier (Elizabeth), and Richard Denny Currier, Jr. (Julianne); and grandchildren Kathryn, Clark, Connor, John, and Owen; brother John Currier (Janet) and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held, followed by a Memorial Celebration of Denny’s life friends and family. The celebration will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on February 26, 2010 at the clubhouse at Keowee Key country Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
