Fred Edward Hudson, Sr. 78, of 13098 South Radio Station Rd. died Sunday July 11, 2010. He was born in Charlotte, NC and was the son of Fred Earl and Mattie Sue White Hudson. He was retired from Army National Guard of 34 years as Command Sergeant Major and was a veteran of US Navy of 4 years. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Evelyn Hudson. A son, Fred E. Hudson, Jr., His parents, a brother, Warren Earl Hudson and a sister, Katherine Ann Mode. He is survived by; A son, Mark D. and wife, Dee Hudson of Seneca, SC. A daughter, Donna and husband, Jeff Shipe of Seneca, SC. A brother, Otis Donald Hudson of Charlotte, NC . Grandchildren, Nikki Hudspeth Belch of Chapin, SC. Katie Hudson of Seneca, SC. Lindsay K. Hudson of Seneca, SC and Brandi Shipe of Seneca, SC. He has 4 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Seneca Church of the Nazerene with Rev. Tommy Baltzegar officiating. Burial will follow with National Guard Military Honors at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brown-Oglesby.
