Maude Mason Cox, 95 of 62 Main St., Newry, SC died Sunday July 18, 2010 at the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca. She was a precious mother and was called to Heaven. She was the wife of the late, W.J. “Bub” Cox, she was also preceded by her mother, Lina Mason Stone, a brother, Arthur Mason, Sisters, Florence Williams, Jeanette Stone, and Lilly Mason, and a grandson, Bryan Goff, Sr.. She is survived by daughter, Carolyn and husband Edward Goff of Tamassee, step-daughter, Genethel Duncan and husband Carl of Ohio, grandson, Bradley Goff and wife Tammy of Tamassee, Jason Goff of Asheville, granddaughter in law Vikki of Columbia, great-grandchildren, Jessica Goff of Clemson, Bryan Goff, Jr. and Adam Goff of Columbia, a sister, Kathryn Kirby of Seneca, a brother, Benny Mason of Westminster. She was a member of Lydia Baptist Church. We will miss her and that her Heavenly family is rejoicing.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday July 20, 2010 at 2:00pm at the graveside at Oconee memorial Park with the Reverend Glenn Kelly officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30– 1:30 at the funeral home prior to the service. The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauegard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
