Hessie Willis Finley, age 94.
Passed away on Dec. 10, 2010 at Seneca Health and Rehab. Under the care of the Cottingham Hospice House.
Born on June 10, 1916 to the late Edward and Ada Poe Willis in Snow Creek Township, Mitchell County, NC. Mrs. Finley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
Member of the Seneca Presbyterian Church for over 65 years. Faithfully served as a Sunday School Teacher, Circle Leader, and President of the Woman of the Church. She also served the community as a Girl Scout Leader.
Predeceased by her husband of 64 years Carl M. Finley, one son, James Nelson, 2 sisters and 5 brothers.
Survived by sons and daughters in law Jerry D and Margaret Finley of Pendergrass, GA., Jesse M and Marina Finley of Anderson, SC. Daughters and sons in law Josephine Wood of Seneca, Lou and Dwight Pearson of Chester, SC, and Betty and Ray Hall of Hartwell, Ga.
Survived by 15 grandchildren and 33 Great grandchildren and 2 Great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Monday Dec. 13, 2010 at Seneca Presbyterian Church with the Dr. Nancy Morris officiating. The family will receive friends One hour prior to service at the church. With burial in Oconee Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Seneca Presbyterian Church 115 W.
